Yield Guild Games is expanding its investment portfolio. The recent addition is the Solana based play-to-earn and move-to-earn game, Genopets. It includes the purchase of YGG customized Geneopets in-game assets. This announcement came via their Medium page.
Therefore, there are expectations for Yield Guild Games to launch scholarships in this game. Members of the YGG community that will like to partake in a potential scholarship should keep their ears on the ground. As the guild will most likely be offering a scholarship program soon.
Details of the Genopets in-Game Assets Purchase
YGG has purchased the Genopets native token (GENE) for use by the YGG community. Alongside the tokens, the guild is also purchasing custom branded Genopets habitats. Players can craft habitats using GENE or KI (the in-game fungible reward token). They can also buy habitat from the in-game marketplace. There are three levels, level 1 to 3. With a higher level, you can generate higher KI daily.
Speaking on this buy-in the head of partnership at YGG had the following to say:
“Genopets is a fascinating and innovative take on play-to-earn meets fitness. We will be purchasing Genopets Habitats specially branded for YGG that will allow for the YGG community to play, move, and earn.”
He also added that :
“The Genopets team has great experience in the crypto space and a deep understanding of the scholarship model, which can be seen from the design of the game and how Habitat delegation should allow for easy management of scholars.”
The CEO cofounder of Genopets Albert Chen was very positive about this partnership.
