Animoca Brand and Bored Ape Yacht Club have announced a partnership to launch a New Blockchain NFT Game. This announcement was made by Animoca brands on the 13th of December. It was made through Animoca’s news channel. According to the growth company, the game will feature the use of BAYC non-fungible tokens. Here are the details of this announcement.
Details of the New Blockchain NFT Game
The new blockchain game will be released in the second quarter of 2022. It will feature all the 10,000 Bored Ape NFTs. This game will employ the play-to-earn mechanism when it is released. Asides this, not much details were given by either brands. However, the expectations for this game is very high.This is because Bored Ape Yacht is a very popular NFT collection. Their creators have produced NFTs worth billions. They also have a very dedicated NFT community market.
Speaking ahead of the partnership, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands – Yat Siu has this to say:
“NFTs have emerged as a store of culture. There are very few icons that are able to represent the surging world of NFTs as powerfully as Bored Ape Yacht Club, which is why we, as a group and in aggregate, hold a significant number of them. We are incredibly excited and proud to collaborate on a game for this cultural milestone.”
Although the so the spokesperson of BAYC did not disclose his identity, he was positive about this mood. He also gave his thoughts on the partnership. Here is what he had to say:
