In a highly anticipated pre-season update for Origins, Axie Infinity has implemented a balancing patch that brings the long-awaited Parts Evolution Utility and official adjustments for the upcoming season.
The most significant news is the introduction of the Parts Evolution Utility, providing players with the opportunity to enhance and evolve their Axies’ parts. This feature adds an extra layer of strategy and customization to the game, enabling players to optimize and tailor their Axies to face increasingly challenging foes.

Regarding game balance, specific adjustments have been made to cards, with the standout changes being applied to Blue Mirror and Discount Coupon. The former will now grant +1 Bulwark upon use, offering players more tactical options in battle. On the other hand, the PP cost of Discount Coupon has increased to 5, up from 4. These changes aim to refine the gaming experience, maintaining a competitive and strategic environment.
Axie Aims to Start the Year on a Balanced Note
Another significant improvement involves an increase in the base health of collectible Axies in Origins. This adjustment is applied differentially: Mystic Axies enjoy an additional +20 HP, Origin Axies get +15 HP. While Xmas, MEO, Shiny, and Japanese Axies receive an extra +10 HP. Even Summer Axies join the update with a slight increase of +5 HP. These changes seek to strengthen the presence of collectible Axies in the Arena. Providing players with more strategic options when building their teams.
In the Origins shop, players can get excited about the return of Momo, Venoki, and Pomodoro packs. Each pack, available for 1,000 Gems, includes the choice of 1 starter Axie, 1,000 Honor Medals, and 5 Class Badges. These special offers allow players to expand their collection and enhance their gameplay strategies.
It’s essential to note that while these updates are in effect. The balance adjustments are not final and will continue to be evaluated as data and community feedback are gathered. Season 7 is expected to officially commence in mid-January. Providing players with the opportunity to test their new strategies and experience the exciting improvements implemented in Origins.
