A New Era of Competitive Play
The “Flashback: Genesis” tournament is the first to utilize the new GU Formats game modes. Held on the GU Stakes competition platform, the tournament will feature high-stakes battles where players compete for rare cards and a total prize pool of 5,000 $GODS tokens. Notably, the Alborax Mythic Variant, a powerful one-of-a-kind collector’s card, will be up for grabs.
Tournament Structure
The tournament is exclusive to 256 players and will consist of eight single-elimination rounds, each played in a best-of-three format. Players will need to strategize and adapt as they progress through the rounds, with the competition intensifying as the prize pool becomes more valuable.
The Genesis card set will be spotlighted, ensuring that players’ cards remain valuable contenders in each contest. Other sets permitted on the battleground include Etherbots, Core, and Welcome.
Registration and Participation
Registration for the tournament opened on September 4, at 9 AM EST, and will close at 9:59 AM EST on September 13, just before the tournament starts. Players will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with their positions visible in the public bracket. Matches will be notified in the Open Tournaments section of the GU Stakes Platform.
