TL;DR
- Nexpace purged 37% of total wallets (640,000) to enforce fairness and combat automated gameplay on MapleStory Universe.
- A strict KYC reverification process rejected nearly all of 28,000 suspect accounts, approving only 155 wallets.
Nexpace has removed 640,000 accounts from the MapleStory Universe, representing 37% of the total, in a move aimed at ensuring a fair gaming environment for all users. This purge is part of a broader strategy to eradicate automated gameplay and other prohibited conduct.
The direct outcome of these anti-fraud measures was an 82% drop in fraudulent activity. This success, in turn, prompted a surge of 70,000 new wallets in June 2025. Furthermore, the Credit Level system proved crucial in curbing malicious registrations, which resulted in a stable daily active wallet range of 60,000 to 70,000.

Ongoing Reinforcement of Verification Measures
Nexpace continues to enhance its defenses. A KYC reverification initiative, focused on pre-verified accounts or those that bypassed standard checks, approved only 155 out of 28,000 examined. As a next step, the company plans to introduce a credit card-based verification method designed to increase security without adding hurdles for legitimate users.
The central goal of these efforts remains enforcing strict policies to maintain a secure and equitable platform.
