Ubisoft will release a major update for its blockchain-based trading card game, Might & Magic Fates, on March 24. Titled “Broken Oaths,” the patch introduces ten new cards, balance adjustments, and a set of tools designed to reshape the progression and strategy experience within the platform.

The update follows the game’s initial launch on mobile devices in February and its subsequent Early Access release on Steam for PC. With “Broken Oaths,” the development team aims to refine competitive play without altering core turn or resource systems, a choice intended to preserve existing deck diversity while introducing new tactical elements.
The main component of the patch is the Absolution set, a collection of ten cards conceived as strategic catalysts. These pieces seek to broaden deck-building options and modify the current meta-game, offering additional synergies that players will need to explore and counter.
New features and progression systems
Alongside the cards, the studio incorporates several mechanics that alter the game’s internal economy. The Disenchantment system allows players to break down unwanted cards into gold, a crafting resource that reduces dependence on random pack openings to assemble competitive decks. Meanwhile, the Battle Log function delivers persistent records of past matches, an analysis tool designed for users to review plays, identify errors, and adjust strategies.
The update also adds Duplicate Protection, a measure aimed at minimizing repeated card drops and improving the value of collections. Daily Bonuses reward regular logins, while a consolidated Player Profile offers a comprehensive view of personal progress and statistics. New quests with daily, weekly, and starter challenges provide additional means to earn rewards.

Ubisoft further announced a new Hero Pack granting access to exclusive items, including Diamonds and a unique animated hero. Visual upgrades and stability improvements round out the package, promising a smoother and more polished gaming experience. The full patch notes will be available before launch, allowing players to review the complete scope of changes. With “Broken Oaths,” Might & Magic Fates positions itself for a significant shift in gameplay dynamics and player engagement.
