Besides that, players can now view their Axie accessories more directly within the app. Ronin has been the go-to platform for most GameFi enthusiast. It is the official Axie Infinity partner and has features designed to make players of that game easily access their assets. As such, modifications like this are not exactly surprising.
Details of the Ronin Wallet Social Login Feature
With the new Ronin Wallet social login feature, new users can now create accounts by simply connecting their Google, Apple, Facebook, or Twitter profiles. This process is very easy and only takes about 2 minutes.
In times past, there have been complaints of people getting locked out of their account because they could not remember their key phrases. These key phrases are often multiple random words that are impossible to remember. As such, people resort to different means of storage. While they are secure, these safety measures typically offer their own challenges.
As mentioned earlier, memorizing them is impracticable. To help with recall, users store them in various ways like in an email draft or notepad apps. While this may seem secure, spring key phrases on third party platforms exposes people to vulnerabilities. Hackers can attack those centralized platform and gain easy access to user funds with these security phrases.
The social login feature eliminates these threats without compromising the security standards. Ronin will still maintain the noncustodial Threshold Key Management to ensure convenience and safety. Instead of a 1-step keyphrase, this method splits the private key into three separate parts called key shares.
Each one is kept in a separate location and requires a specific recover mechanism. They are listed as Security Factors in the Recovery Kit setting of your wallet. The three of them are as shown below:
- Sky Mavis Account share
- Device share
- Recovery Password share.
Despite this enhancement, this feature is only open to first-timers. Already-existing accounts will remain unchanged. Alongside the introduction of this new feature, Ronin is also launching a free mobile app. Considering that the platform has become the home of many individuals interested in DeFi, the team was to make usage easier and intuitive.
