While most blockchain games are looking to create a Metverse, Sandbox is already expanding its own. Earlier on, there was a Snoopdog Land sale in the Sandverse. This time around, the Sandbox Metaverse is looking to feature some sports. Sandbox Game and round21 are working to launch the SAND Play Game Jame. This announcement came via the Sandbox medium page. Here is everything you need to know about this contest.
Details of the SAND Play Game Jam
This is a sports-themed art contest. Through this contest, round21 seeks to increase the creative expression of participants. Submissions can be based on a present or past sporting events. Creators are also free to put their imaginations to test. They can create a new sporting event and set the rule through which players will play. There is 50,000 SAND, which be b distributed amongst 10 winners. The creator who takes first place will get 20,000 SAND. Second and third play will get 10,000 and 6,000 SAND respectively. Those who finish within 4th to 10 position will all get 2,000 SAND each.
SAND Play Game Jam contest is set for four stages. The SAND Game Jam contest itself begins on the 24th December 2021. Users will have to complete and submit their entries by the 9th January 2022, at 11:59pm UTC. Following the deadline, voting will commence on the 10th and end on 17th January 2022. The results will be announced on the 22nd January 2022.
How to Submit Creative Entries
As mentioned earlier, you have to create a sport-based artwork. For your work to be valid, you must create it using the Game Maker Software. Otherwise, participants can also use the VoxEdit software for their entries. You can either create your work as a single individual or as a team. There are no rules to how you do it. Players with custom assets can also enter the contest. Use the VoxEdit software to design your custom asset that you want to use for the contest.
Once you finish your art, ensure to save it. Users must submit their entries using “SAND PLAY GAME JAM” – (The title of your game) as the title of the file itself. You must also follow this image tutorial when submitting an entry. Submit your work using this form and the Sandbox team will approve of it. Approval may sometimes be delayed for certain reasons.
