Details of the Sandstorm Builder Contest 23
The Sandstorm Builder Contest 23 will run from the 11th of January till 23:59 UTC on the 22nd of January, 2023. This competition is a tribute to The Big Wheel – a legendary state fair and amusement park. In this regard, creators are expected to design unforgettable and splendid memories they had on a Ferris wheel as a child.
Meanwhile, this contest is only open to specific individuals. One of such participation requirement is having a Level 2 Verification badge. In addition, those who want to vote must also own the Sandstorm Staff and Beta Tester Badges.
Below are the rules for participation:
- The maximum size of the submission is 512 by 512.
- Although they can style the wheel as they wish, builders must use animations when designing a Ferris wheel.
- Avatars are optional, and you are not required to add them to your creation.
- Participants can only add up to 5000 faces. However, there are no node limits.
The 10,000 $SAND prize pool will be shared among the best 10 participants. More so, here is the reward breakdown for this event:
- 1st Position: 3,000 $SAND
- 2nd Position: 2,000 $SAND
- 3rd Position: 1,600 $SAND
- 4th Position: 1,400 $SAND
- 5th Position: 1,000 $SAND
- 6th to 10th Positions: 200 $SAND each
DCL Metaverse Olympics 10
Meanwhile, the DCL Metaverse Olympics #10 is still ongoing. The campaign will run till the 15th of January, 2023. Interested contestants must have the Level 2 Verification badge to enable them to participate. However, only those with a Judge badge can vote. In addition, there will be only 5 winners from this competition.

Instead of $SAND, the team is offering $USDC as the rewards. Below is the breakdown:
