Etherscape, the popular Web3 ARPG MMO, has announced a series of exciting updates and new features that promise to enhance the gaming experience for its players. One of the most significant changes is the introduction of a new Multiverse Meta for the monthly Multiverse Rift events.
Based on the learnings from the Frozen North event, random rifts will now spawn less frequently in regular quests, but these rifts will sometimes drop a rift key. Higher-level players have a better chance of obtaining these keys, which can be used to open quests to the new Rift Realm. The new Rift Dweller faction will drop Multiverse Essence, which players can use to gain position on the leaderboard.

New Token Support
This month’s Multiverse Event will allow players to win the APG-M55 token as the top reward. The APG-M55 is a new equipable epic magic weapon that can also be used as a skin, featuring new projectile and sound effects.
Additionally, the new utility has been added to previous tokens, such as the Bad Bears Barbarian, which now has stackable Renown, and the Forge Hammer, which can now be used as a skin. Iggy tokens with Etherscape or Imperial Sovereign armor will also unlock a skin.
Renown Utility
Etherscape has introduced a new affix called Renown, which adds support for special skins like the new Glacial Weapons and Iggy Armors. The first utility for Renown has been added in-game, allowing players to purchase daily items from the merchant based on their Renown level. The merchant will sell items at an increased price of up to 30% and buy items at a reduced price of up to 30%. More utilities for Renown are expected in future releases.
Market Economy Changes
As Etherscape matures through its alpha phase, the game is advancing its marketplace mechanics to ensure a stable economy. Unbound Gems, which represent a risk for the game wallet due to their USD value peg, will be phased out over time.
Community wallet rewards for heroic caches and weekly arena rankings will now be in the form of Unbound Enjinite. The exchange market will allow players to convert Bound and Unbound Enjinite directly into Bound Gems. Eventually, the ability to purchase Unbound Gems will be removed, and players will no longer be able to withdraw them.
Balance Changes
Etherscape is constantly monitoring balance to ensure a stable economy. In this release, critical hit chance is now capped at 50%, and critical hit damage rolls on items have been reduced by approximately 25% for new drops. Crowd resistance for level 17+ enemies has been increased, and the difficulty of daily and weekly achievements has been raised.
