zkRace has released its latest weekly update, outlining recent developments in three main areas: leaderboards, horse NFT staking, and community feedback management. The goal is to keep the community informed about the current state of development and ongoing implementations within the platform.
Regarding the leaderboards, the technical team addressed an issue affecting data collection for the Slowest Racer ranking. According to the report, the problem prevented certain race results from being recorded correctly, which denied some participants their rightful spots on the leaderboard. The solution involved syncing all data from December, ensuring that all race results were included in the official record. With this fix, the platform guarantees accurate leaderboard standings and ensures no participant misses out on potential rewards.

zkRace Continues Work on Horse Retirement
Another key aspect of the update is the development of the permanent horse retirement feature. Which is currently undergoing testing on the testnet. This feature will allow users to retire their horses permanently, preventing them from participating in any future activities such as racing or breeding. Retired horses will generate rewards in the form of Sugar Cubes, a critical element of the gameβs ecosystem.
During the testing phase, the team is verifying that the system functions correctly. Including the calculation and distribution of rewards, as well as the deactivation of all associated features for retired horses. Various scenarios are being simulated to ensure the system can handle multiple retired horses without issues.
Finally, zkRace provided an update on its efforts to incorporate community feedback. Throughout the week, the team reviewed comments and proposals. Prioritizing those aligned with their development objectives and offering the greatest potential value to the project. These suggestions range from gameplay adjustments to improvements in the user interface.
