Before the release of this upgrade, there was an AMA with the Project Lead and Lead Game Designer. In that session, they shared insights into the efforts put into developing this game. This includes details about the bug fixes and incorporation of different features.
Details of the Mines of Dalarnia 1.2 Update on its Mainnet
Starting from the 23rd of February, Mines of Dalarnia 1.2 Update will be available on its mainnet. This implies that on-chain users who engage in gaming will get real rewards instead of testnet prizes. One major highlight is that those who do not have wallets can explore off-chain Surface Salvage Mission within Dalarnian planets.
This means that everyone can mine scraps from abandoned ships. They can also defeat enemies and gather bones without connecting to a blockchain wallet. Mines of Dalarnia is introducing three different login options to support the new approach.
These are as follows:
- Connect Wallet
- Sign in or sign up
- Play Demo
Meanwhile, off-chain players can migrate to an on-chain account by connecting their wallet anytime they feel ready.
This new option will expand the gaming options of Mines of Dalarnia. It will allow players who are not interested in blockchain to join the adventure. These users will be more enthusiastic to begin gaming since they do not need to connect a wallet to the platform before enjoying the experience. This free-to-play option does not require dig or gas fees.
However, off-chain players will only receive non-tradable resources. Instead, they can use the scraps and bones they collected to craft non-tradable consumable items like boosters. These power-ups give powerful benefits to miners within a limited time. This makes it easier for users to complete standard missions. In addition, it provides gamers with significant opportunities to complete more difficult levels.
Some of them include the following:
- Increase in maximum HP
- Chances of spawning Healer Bots after killing an enemy
- Enemies explode after dying.
