GENSO Metaverse, a blockchain-based virtual world powered by Elrond Network, has announced the pre-release of its first LANDMARK, Hikone LAND. This is a virtual replica of the historic castle town of Hikone, located in Shiga Prefecture, Japan.

Hikone LAND was designed and created by various individuals, with the motif of Hikone’s castle town from the Edo period. The 3D models of Hikone Castle, trees, ponds, castle walls, shopping streets, samurai residences, and longhouses were created by students from Osaka Design Sogo, Japan Animation & Manga CollegeJAM, and Ota Information & Business College.
GENSO Meta Adds New Landmark
Hikone LAND also features Hikone City’s local characters, “Hiko-nyan” and “Iinosuke”, who can interact with the visitors. GENSO Metaverse is working towards providing the GENSO development kit to Hikone City on a trial basis, allowing them to place NPCs, set dialogues, and configure URLs there.
To visit Hikone LAND, users need to enter the Elrond Mall in GENSO Metaverse and talk to the ‘Hikone LAND Guide’ standing next to the GensoKishi OP video on the left. Hikone LAND is still under construction and will be updated in the future.
GENSO Metaverse is a user-generated content (UGC) platform that allows users to create and explore various virtual worlds using blockchain technology. Users can also own and trade digital assets such as land parcels, buildings, avatars, and items.
GENSO Metaverse has also partnered with several projects in the blockchain space, such as Vulcan Forged, SYMBIOGENESIS, AI Skins, Oxya Origin, and more. On October 25th, GENSO Metaverse will launch an NFT farm in collaboration with Vulcan Forged, where users can stake their PYR tokens to earn GENSO tokens and NFTs.
