Illuvium has launched patch 1.5.0 for Arena Gauntlet, which introduces several important changes to both gameplay and the interface. This patch focuses on balancing the performance of synergies and Illuvials, adjusting both their stats and interactions within the game.
One of the main updates is the change to the emote system. Previously, both the winner and the loser of each round would cast emotes simultaneously, which could lead to a visual overload. Now, only the winner of the round will automatically activate the emote, improving the gaming experience.
Regarding gameplay, a notification system is incorporated to inform players about the achievements of their opponents, such as leveling up or win/loss streaks. Additionally, the visualization of hexes affected by synergies and augments has been improved. When hovering over a synergy with area-of-effect effects, the range of these effects is now clearly displayed on the board.
The Team Planner, a new strategic tool, allows players to plan their team compositions without interrupting the ongoing game. This functionality provides real-time feedback, enabling quick adjustments and a better understanding of synergies between Illuvials. The Team Planner is also integrated with the shop system, highlighting elements that match the team’s composition, making it easier to acquire desired items during the match.
Illuvium: Adjusting Synergies and Fixing Bugs
The patch also makes significant adjustments to the balance of synergies and Illuvials. The capabilities of some synergies, such as Enchanter and Tempest, have been reduced, decreasing their impact on the game. On the other hand, other synergies, such as Earth and Nature, have been improved, increasing their effectiveness in combat. Some Illuvials, such as Komodo Dragon and Turtle, have seen increases in their attack damage, while others, such as Axolotl, have received nerfs that reduce their defensive abilities.
Furthermore, several bugs have been fixed, such as issues with resistance penetration for certain Illuvials and Omega damage for Komodo Dragon, as well as an adjustment to Fighter Lynx’s healing to make it proportional to the damage dealt.
Finally, access to certain game functions has been modified, such as the hotkey for selling Illuvials, which is now “C,” leaving “T” for the Team Planner. These changes aim to improve accessibility and the overall user experience.
