PCCW and HKT are partnering with The Sandbox game to launch a virtual 5G network in the metaverse. With this move, it becomes first communications, media and technology (CMT) organization in Hong Kong to join the metaverse. As part of this collaboration, these two telecom firms will be purchasing an Hong Kong-inspired megacity in the Sandverse.

Details of the PCCW and HKT Virtual 5G Network in Sandbox Metaverse
In that virtual city, it will integrate traditional film, TV and musical entertainment into a web3 environment. In addition, there are plans to introduce eCommerce, financial and healthcare technologies into the metaverse. By doing it, they will be able to build a strong metacommunity.
