Milan Fashion Virtual Week Held on Decentraland

To mark the Milan Virtual Fashion week, Philipp Plein is launching the very first fashion line on Decentraland. This will happen in conjunction with Portion. Portion is a collector community and blockchain-based auction house for high-end digital and physical artworks. More details are as follows.

Details of the Milan Virtual Fashion Week

This Milan Virtual Fashion Week will take place on Thursday the 24th of March, from 07:00 PM to 08:00 PM UTC. The show will feature one of a kind digital creation that emphasizes the expertise of Philipp Plein’s creativity. They include wearables and Monster Gang physical sculptures specially made for this event. It will also showcase the digital art of The Crypto King$ and will be bringing their artworks to life in this virtual event.

Earlier on, Mr. Plein acquired the Decentraland’s Plein Plaza – a 120-meter-high skyscraper for $1.4 million. This is a prime district that spans 65 parcels of virtual Land. As such, he will be using this event as an opportunity to unveil the first phase of the development of this plaza. The first part of this building is the Philipp Plein founded Museum of NFT Arts (MONA). This is an open forum with the sole purpose of encouraging the development and showcasing digital arts of young artists.

NFT Drop in the Milan Virtual Fashion Week

Part of the Milan Virtual Fashion Week is a tour of Plein’s immersive art world in the Metaverse. Also, there will be an exhibition showcasing a series of unreleased NFTs. As part of the announcement, it was also revealed that Crypto King$ is a pseudonym for the collaboration between Philipp Plein and Antoni Tudisco.

NFT Collections and Other Details

Romeo 0.1 – a humanoid robot will open the floor and introduce the Plein Sports Sneakers collection. This will also feature high-end digital wearables that possess a high level of rarity. It will take place by 12:00 pm PST, 3 pm EST, and 9 pm CET. Users can either choose to keep the NFT sneakers they buy as an art collection. On the other hand, they can burn them into digital wearables. More so,  they will be able to customize their avatars with it while exploring the metaverse.

The exploration into the virtual blockchain world reinforces Philipp’s dedication to fashion innovation. In 2021, it also became the first company to accept cryptocurrencies (over 20 different coin types) as a mode of payment. As a result, it recorded a significant turnover of 100 million euros from e-commerce sales.
