It’s time to tap into your imagination and demonstrate your game development skills. So, you have complete creative freedom to build any experience that captures the essence of the classic hero vs villain motif.

Also, the possibilities are endless when it comes to bringing the fight between heroes and villains to life. Try to make a fast-action game where a hero races against time to defeat an evil villain.

Or design a strategy game with armies led by heroes and villains facing off in epic war. Additionally, you can build an open world where players complete quests to save villagers from villains.

Compete for Glory on The Sandbox

This is your chance to prove yourself amongst The Sandbox’s vibrant community of creators. So, by participating in game jams, you can win SAND prizes, gain exposure as a developer, enhance your skills, and connect with fellow visionaries.

The stakes are high, with over 50,000 SAND up for grabs. Top winners will also get the opportunity to potentially join the Game Maker Fund. Are you ready to take on the competition?

Key Dates to Remember

The Game Jam runs from August 14 till 27. You’ll need to submit your completed entry by the 27th at 3 PM UTC. Make sure to leave enough time to test your game before the deadline thoroughly.

Voting will take place from August 28th – September 13th. Finally, winners will be revealed at a live awards ceremony on September 23rd at 6 PM UTC. You won’t want to miss this exciting event!

Follow the Rules to Qualify

To compete, you must follow all the contest rules and requirements of the event. Read through them carefully before you start building.

Firstly, your game must be at least 5 minutes of playable content. Secondly, you need a minimum of 25 unique assets, and you can use assets you’ve created or purchased. Also, the event does not allow the use of copyrighted content.

Finally, you’ll also need to upload your game to the Drafts Gallery in Game Maker on the game platform and fill out the submission form. Once you submit, you will wait for feedback from The Council, and that is all.
