Mines of Dalarnia Update 1.4 Goes Live

Mines of Dalarnia has released Update 1.4, which incorporates details of the migration plan. The team is sharing essential information about upgrades that have already taken effect. This also includes the addition of new features and digital items to gameplay.

One highlight of this update is Rechaining to enable the game to move its operations to another blockchain. At the moment, the team has completed internal audits of its smart contracts. This is in preparation for the external audits. The aim is to improve the security, gas efficiency, and scalability of its platform. Once this process is complete, the Mines of Dalarnia will re-mint all the NFT collections.

After the rechaining, the IDs and smart contact addresses of tokens and NFTs will change. Despite the alteration, the blockchain will show records of the old address. This will enable individuals to trace and verify the origin of NFTs and in-game tokens. First of all, there will be a testnet taking place minting exercise in the coming days after the internet testing is complete.

Besides the migration to the BNB chain, Mines of Dalarnia is adding new gameplay features. One of them is New Competition Game Modes. Specific challenges will be added to the Astrolab to make the gaming experience more exciting. Even better, these new contests will feature new layouts in the map and segments that will ensure that gameplay has diverse varieties.

In addition to the new game modes, the update also features the introduction of a new monster to the game. The Amazing Spider Crab will appear in Mines of Dalarnia Depth 3 once update 1.4 goes live. Despite the early announcement, the team did not share further details about the abilities of this in-game character. They only stated that the monster would climb ceilings and attack players from the top of caves.

As stated in the Mines of Dalarnia Update 1.3, there are now upgrades to the Spacehop. Players can defend their platforms by attacking each other with their swords. Platforms will now be sucked into the black hole instead of dropping straight down. To enable people to maneuver better, the devs have upgraded the netcode to ensure seamless control.
