Guild of Guardians Starts a Regional Test Towards its Global Launch

Guild of Guardians, a highly anticipated mobile game that combines dungeon crawling with blockchain technology, has launched its regional test in Canada. The game, which is developed by Mineloader and published by Immutable, aims to create a play-to-earn ecosystem where players can craft, trade, and use non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as in-game assets.

The regional test, which started on January 16, 2024, is a critical step towards the game’s global launch, expected in Q2 2024. The test allows the developers to measure the game’s performance, balance, and retention, as well as to gather feedback from new players. The test version is web2 only, meaning that it does not have any web3 integrations or NFT features yet.

However, it does offer in-app purchases, a full story mode, dungeons, events, and a variety of heroes to collect and upgrade. Guild of Guardians has attracted a lot of attention from the gaming and crypto communities since its announcement in 2021. The game raised over $5.3 million in its token sale, which was oversubscribed by 82 times. The game also boasts over 800,000 registered users and a vibrant Discord community.

The game’s utility token, Guild of Guardians Gems (GOG), is currently trading on OKX and Sushiswap. The vision is to create a free-to-play and play-to-earn experience that is accessible to anyone with a mobile device. The NFTs, which will be minted on the Immutable X network, will represent heroes, pets, guilds, and energy boosters. Players will be able to earn crafting materials by playing the game, which they can use to create NFTs.

They will also be able to combine common heroes into higher rarities and mint them on the blockchain. The game will also offer seasonal content and charge a fee for secondary sales of some items. The game’s developers have stated that they will have another web3 milestone playtest event before the global launch, where players will be able to use their purchased NFTs in the game.

They have also assured that they will ensure an even playing field at launch and that they will not provide access to the regional test to players outside of Canada. Guild of Guardians is one of the most promising mobile games that leverages blockchain technology to create a new gaming paradigm.

The game’s regional test is a significant milestone that brings it closer to its global debut. Players who are interested in the game can join its Discord community, follow its Twitter account, or visit its website for more information.
